In mid spring of 1998, Kevin was providing piano lessons for two girls in Romford, Essex. Their father, who played guitar invited Kevin to accompany him to a Blues/Rock Jam Night held every Monday at The Hop Poles Pub in Enfield. It was the first time that Kevin had played along with a live band set up.  Although Kevin did not attend every Monday night due to his teaching workload, when he did he was in constant demand to play all evening with various musicians.

In November 1998 as a result of a dispute, the singer in the House band left, taking some of the other band members with her. Kevin was then approached by one of the Club members and asked if he would stand in as the Keyboard player on a temporary basis until they could find a permanent replacement.  As he enjoyed himself so much, Kevin rearranged his lessons to enable him to be available on a permanent basis.  The newly formed House Band gelled together so well, they decided to form a separate group called Easy Access.

The band took off and gained several bookings in various pubs around London and the Home Counties. In addition, Easy Access also played a set at the Porsche Convention held at the Brighton Pavillion Dome and also auditioned for the role of the "Drunk Wedding Band" in a Kevin Costner film called The Upside of Anger. They had to perform a Bob Seger song called "Betty-Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight".  When their audition had finished, one of the casting directors told the band that he couldn't fault their musicianship at all, but didn't think they would look convincing as drunken musicians!"

In December 2006, Easy Access performed their last gig at The Coach and Horses in Isleworth, Middlesex.
