While on a break from working with Suzi and the Hotlicks, Kevin decided to turn his hand once more to depping for other bands. Having created a profile for himself on popular musician's portal, LemonRock in June, he was quickly contacted by a 5-piece 70's Soul/Funk/Disco band called The Huggy Flares who were in desperate need of a stand-in for their Keyboard player. After a flurry of emails, he agreed to dep for them on September 3rd.

Having received a live recording of a previous Huggies performance, Kevin spent a solid month working on learning their set list in order to get as close to the Huggies' sound as possible. Kevin's first meeting with the band - at a rehearsal a mere three days before performing with them at The Portland Arms, St Albans, went unbelieveably well, and his first gig with them was a complete success.

As a result of this, Kevin will be depping on keys for The Huggy Flares on a number of occasions until the end of the year and hopefully beyond. For details of these and other Huggy Flares gigs, click their picture below for a look at their official website.
